- On March 27, 2008, HANOI TRANSFORMER MANUFACTURING JOINT STOCK COMPANY was established.
(Later renamed to HBT TRANSFORMER MANUFACTURING JOINT STOCK COMPANY VIETNAM)
2015
- HBT became a partner of CENTRAL POWER CORPORATION (EVNCPC).
2017
- HBT became a partner of NORTHERN POWER CORPORATION (EVNNPC).
- HBT relocated its factory to Tien Son Industrial Park, Tu Son City, Bac Ninh Province, with a total area of 5,400m² – double the size of the previous factory in Ninh Hiep Industrial Park, Hanoi.
2018
- HBT became a partner of SOUTHERN POWER CORPORATION (EVNSPC).
- Successfully exported its first batch of transformers to a partner in the Philippines.
2019
- HBT became a partner of HANOI POWER CORPORATION (EVNHANOI).
- HBT invested in the construction and completion of a 10,000m² factory in Hoan Son Industrial Park, Bac Ninh Province.
2020
- HBT became a partner of HO CHI MINH CITY POWER CORPORATION (EVNHCMC).
- Exported its first transformers to partners in Laos and Cambodia.
2022
- Establishment of SOTEK GROUP CORPORATION, marking a strategic restructuring toward multi-industry investment, with the core focus remaining on manufacturing and supplying electrical equipment.
- Established the Project and International Relations Department.
- Launched the SOTEK TRAN brand, focused on exports and competitive pricing.
SOTEK TRAN successfully exported its first batch of transformers to a partner in Australia. - Founded SOTEK TECHNOLOGY JOINT STOCK COMPANY, investor of the Electrical Equipment Factory project in Giao An Commune, Giao Thuy District, Nam Dinh Province; total area: 95,000m²; expected to start construction, complete, and put into operation by 2026.
- Founded SOTEK CONSTRUCTION JOINT STOCK COMPANY (SOTEK CONS).
2023
- Founded SOTEK LAND INVESTMENT JOINT STOCK COMPANY, investor of the Electrical Equipment Factory project in Thuan Thanh 2 Industrial Park, Bac Ninh Province; total area: 26,000m²; completed and put into operation in the same year.
- Sotek Land invested in the Onsen Resort project in Kim Boi, Hoa Binh, covering 13,000m²; construction expected to begin in 2025 and complete in 2027.
- SOTEK Construction Joint Stock Company separated from the Group to operate independently.
2025
- SOTEK GROUP CORPORATION became the investor of the Sotek Group Electrical Equipment Factory in Gia Binh Industrial Park, Bac Ninh Province; scale: 53,000m²; construction started, and expected to complete and operate within the same year.
- Separated HBT’s mechanical workshop and established SOTEK MACH MECHANICAL JOINT STOCK COMPANY; relocated production to Dai Dong Industrial Park, with a facility of 4,800m².
