Cast Resin Dry-Type Transformers — SOTEK
Epoxy Encapsulated

Cast Resin Dry-Type

Safe indoor distribution units with zero fire hazards. Self-extinguishing and maintenance free.

Cast Resin Technology

Indoor Safe Distribution

SOTEK’s Cast Resin Dry-Type transformers are designed to eliminate standard fluid leakage concerns. The high voltage and low voltage coils are wound on automated machinery and encapsulated in high-grade epoxy resin under vacuum.

This prevents air pockets, minimizing partial discharges (PD values less than 10 pC) and ensuring excellent mechanical resistance against thermal shock and short-circuit mechanical forces.

Equipped with thermal controllers connected to PT100 temperature sensors embedded in the wind phases, SOTEK dry units trigger automatic fans for increased transient load capabilities.

Protective Metal Enclosures

SOTEK provides customized sheet steel enclosures matching environmental installation requirements.

IP20 Enclosure

Protects the transformer against solid objects larger than 12.5mm (such as fingers). No liquid protection. Designed for clean indoor electrical rooms.

IP21 / IP23 Enclosure

IP21 protects against vertically dripping water. IP23 adds protection against spraying water up to 60° from vertical. Optimal for basement machinery rooms.

NEMA 3R / Outdoor Option

Heavy-duty double-walled outdoor cabinet with louvers and anti-condensation heating elements. Configured for industrial yards or coastal projects.
